The Bienko Family

I had a wonderful Sunday afternoon with the Bienko family...

Living in the Vancouver area, we enjoy every last ounce that summer has left to offer us.  The Bienko family and I had an absolutely perfect September afternoon.  It was so great to catch up with an old friend and see her beautiful family.  Especially seeing as they had added a new addition since we last saw one another.  Their daughter was absolutely gorgeous.  Besides myself having some serious hair envy, their daughter Taitum was one of the most beautiful babies I had ever seen.  She was so sweet and such a delight to photograph.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the Bienko family, catching up, sharing laughs and capturing the last leg of our incredible Vancouver summer.

The de Boer Family

I had the pleasure this past weekend to capture some family love with the de Boer family.  I spent the afternoon getting acquainted with Nicole, Andrew and their gorgeous baby boy Archer.  We wandered through UBC's Endownment Lands.  As we made our way through the different trails and lush greenery, we stopped every so often to snag a few shots.  Here are a few of my favourite results...

Amelia & Derek's Family Addition

Amelia & Derek were such a blast to photograph!

These two are truly like peas in a pod.  Their hilarious and goofy antics made for a beautiful yet, cheeky photo shoot.  Derek didn't quite measure up in his "Hubba Bubba" bubble gum blowing skills.  With many attempts to get that perfect bubble, it seemed like an impossible feat.  I must admit I even tried and failed miserably!  Blowing a big bubble under pressure is a LOT harder than you would think!  Sometimes you just have to know when to throw in the towel...  ;)  All in all we had a ton of laughs and I had a great time capturing the love and the beginning of the new Reid family chapter.  I can't wait to meet this little one!

Beach Babes

The weather in Vancouver is usually pretty hit or miss...

We go from having incredible summer weather, to grey, cold, miserable showers.  Because of this, I try to spend as much time outside as possible.  

We have lucked out with some pretty hot and sunny weather this past week.  Which means you can usually find me at the beach as soon as the work clock runs out.

I called up my friend Kristina to see if she wanted to go catch the last few rays before the sun went down.  She accepted.  So Kristina, baby Aubrey, my dog Kai and I headed out to play in the sunshine. 

The last time that the three of us girls were at McDonald beach, Aubrey was still inside her Mommy's tummy.  This was the first time she had ever felt the sand between her toes.  She was full of smiles and giggles as we combed the beach shore.

Now, I don't care how old I get, there is still nothing like the feeling of walking on the sand with the waves crashing over your feet.  

I have never related so much to a 6 month old.

Between playing in the sand, frisbee tosses into the water for Kai to retrieve, I pulled out my camera to snap a few shots.  

I thought that these were just too cute not to share.

Baby Cash

Meet the Rusk family.

They were kind enough to invite me into their home to capture some photographs of their handsome baby boy, Cash.  It's easy to see the love that both Brandi and Sean have for their son.  Their faces just light up around him.
I absolutely LOVE Sean's tattooed arms and baby Cash's pure soft skin up against them.  This made for some really great photos and I hope that you will all enjoy them as much as I do.

Jenna and Scott's Baby To Be...

 Well I guess I'm getting to that age now where all of my friends are starting to either get married, have babies or both!

On deck, just waiting for their baby girl to come into this world, are Jenna and Scott. 

We lucked out and had some great weather for this shoot.  What started out overcast with dark skies, turned into a beautiful, sunny day.

Their baby is still holding out and Jenna is now quite a few days past her due date.  Come out baby we would really like to meet you!

Pregnancy shoot with Kristina

I spent a lovely afternoon shooting with one of my oldest and most favorite (and very pregnant) friends...  Kristina and I have been friends for over 18 years now and she will be the first of us girls to have a baby.  She is the cutest pregnant lady I have ever seen and shooting with her was so much fun!
I can't wait to meet her special little girl.
